Description
A beautiful frosty morning walk along the Tamar River, Devon. The Tamar is a river in south west England, that forms most of the border between Devon & Cornwall. It is a World Heritage Site due to its historic mining activities. The Tamar's source is less than 4 miles from the north Cornish coast, & flows south running across the peninsula to the south coast. The length of the river is 61 miles. At its mouth the Tamar flows into the Hamoaze then Plymouth Sound. Tributaries of the river include the rivers Inny, Ottery, Kensey, Lynher, Deer and Tavy The river can flood into the adjacent fields and moves very fast, taking gates and fences with it, Otters can also be seen playing, if they do not smell you coming first! I have also seen deer crossing the river.
