The River Teign is a river in the county of Devon, England. It rises on Dartmoor, and flows southwards at the east edge of the moor through the steep-sided Teign Valley, it is 31 miles long and becomes an estuary just below Newton Abbot reaching the English Channel at Teignmouth.
