Description
The View form St Catherine's Castle, looking up the Fowey River. Fowey to the left and Polruan on the right. Saint Catherine's Castle is a Henrician castle, built by Thomas Treffry around 1538 , in response to fears of an invasion of England by France and the Holy Roman Empire. An ideal view point to see an enemy and great place for cannons to defend the estuary .
